| Are ther any different between Bushmaster's 30 rd mag (green follower) and others beside the name stamped on the mag plate?. functionality? reliability?. |
BM mags are rebadged D&H's, which are good mags. Save your money and don't buy the BM mags straight from Bushmaster - either get D&H, Center, Okay, CProducts, NHMTG, etc., for quite a bit less. Hope this helps. |

Blacksnake is correct in everything. If you have a bushmaster rifle and just one bushmaster mag then you should set the BM mag aside and when you sell the rifle put that nice looking BM mag with it, that may make it more cool to some folks. If you have not bought any, then do not pay 1 cent more for a BM mag then the brands Blacksnake listed. |
Thank-you, yes, it's helps alots. Are they all the same color?, I like to keep them close to the one in VietNam's war as I can. Thanks again. |

The D&H's can be had in grey or black teflon finish, neither of which would look like an original Vietnam mag, but they are very slick and durable finishes. CProducts has several options on finishes - dry lube, mar lube, teflon all three I think. They have mags with stainless bodies as well. Okay, Center, NHMTG are your standard dry lube coating over the anodized aluminum body. They are grey in color, although they do not look like the grey Teflon D&H/BM mags. If you're wanting to keep close to Vietnam type mags, don't you need straight 20's rather than 30's?? |

Thanks Blacksnake. Yep, I sure do want them in 20 instead of 30 as I try to get more info on where to get them, I like to get 5 of each 10-20 and 30 though. I'm not trying to bring back memory during the VN war but it's nice to have something that when I look at them, I can say to myself or my children/grandchildren that "yep, I was there". Thanks again for the info. |

No problem - wish I could help you more on finding the right 20's but I don't have any and never really looked into it!!! Only a bunch of the aforementioned 30's and a handful of Bushmaster 10's for bench shooting/sighting in. I'm sure if you post a question someone around here can point you in the right direction as far as period-specific straight 20's go. Good luck! |
