Which magazine capacity do you prefer, and why??? Also which brand would you recommend?

I prefer straight 20 rounders. But really couldn't tell you why?So where is the best place to find USGI or Colt 20's?

30s.  Most of mine are Okay or Colt (same thing).

I prefer them ergonomically for reloads, I use them as monopods once in a while, more bullets/less manipulation, most load gear these days is set up for them.

most of my mags are USGI 30 rounders. I have several USGI 20 rounders for shooting off sand bags. I buy nothing but USGI I found them to work the best for me. I went cheal one time and bought a couple after market but had nothing but  trouble. I know am into you get what you pay for.

It depends...

20's are nice for prone shooting.  But I stick a 30 in my home defense gun.  I've never heard of a decent 40.

And beta's are just over priced junk.

My thoughts exactly!

I'm relatively new to the AR-15 arena,  I must say that I like both USGI 20 and 30 rd mags,  I favor the 30s slightly more just for that extra 10rds.

20s (straights, not curved) beat 30s out in all realms except SHTF capacity. The other shortcomming is that 20s shouldn't be loaded for long/indefinite periods of time, whereas 30s are much less of a concern. I voted for both.

I don't seem to see the "Get 'em all" selection.

+1, but the first mag is a 20rnd (Colt), it fits best in a discrete most carry cases.

All my mags are 30's.

But I plan on getting some 20's.

But I would LOVE to have SOME Beta-C's

I don't have anything but 30's so I got nothing to compare them to.
I got:
5 FN USGI, teflon coated after the fact and green followers
5 DPMS LEO mags
10 Labelle pre-ban with teflon
20 Bushmaster LEO mags

20 D&H curved, no question.  Aimed semiauto fire with a 30 seems to last forever and I find a 30 to be long and cumbersome.  The D&H curved 20's can be loaded to fully capacity, unlike the straight 20's that I use (don't have any NHTMG).  Buy a couple black teflon green follower curved 20's and you'll be happy.

Gave the nod to 20s...prefer them for range work & hunting.

30 rnd Black Teflon. Surfit and Magman are the only guys I can find that carry them that DONT have the LEO or date stamp on them.

The mags color actually matches the rifle instead of the "grey" mags.

Just wondering why you prefer them without the LEO stamp on them???

Paranoia.  All it takes is some overzealous clueless Barney Fife to see the LEO stamp to ruin your day.
