Hello all...

I have a magazine question that has plagued me for a little while now... does anyone know of a good place to get them from without having to part with a body limb?  Also, some other enthusiasts have told me that they have had good luck with magazines made from a synthetic material... has anyone else played with these?  If so, is there a favorable ruling as to their quality and reliability?

Thanks for your help,

Even during the AWB years most AR magazines were reasonably priced compared to many other platforms, and IMHO it has been the ultimate buyers' market ever since "sunset."

Whachoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?

Look for USGI mags....Okay industries, Center Industries, NHMTG.  You can get them all at gunshows, 44mag has the NHMTG, and ammoman usually has the center industries and okay industries mags.  If you do a search here or on some other forums you will see lots of threads on bad p-mags and cproducts mags and almost never anything bad on the USGI mags.  My cproducts mags were a huge dissapointment, sloppy bends and some glue shit applied at the seams to fill in the gaps in the bends.  Cproducts mags are sometimes marketed as being USGI but they are not official issue, they are just a copy of the actual thing.  Night and day difference between them and the real USGI mags, which are top notch in my book.

I had problems with D&H USGI mags.  So I bought PMAGs and haven't had a problem since.

Many of the dealers here in Industry and members (Check the EE) have mags for great prices. As stated above, the market has never been better for reasonable priced AR mags.........

tz45acp,

Don't waste your money on cheap synthetic mags except the new Magpul PMAGs are pretty good.

I've had good luck for a long time with Colt (made by Okay) and lately I'm using D&H gray and black Teflon finished mags without problems, I upgraded them with Magpul gen 2 anti tilt followers.

Just check out the AR-15.com Equipment Exchange and shop 'till you drop.

AR15 mags?  thay are practically free!  If you can't afford the mags how do you buy ammo?  and how did you afford the gun in the first place?

But to answer your question, it does not get any cheaper then the board sponsors or from the other guys on this sites equipment exchange
