Anyone tried these new versions of Maglites?  I bought a 2 AA version and it's extremely bright for what it is.

Someone gave me one, it's fairly bright but coverage is poor even though it is focusable. I've also heard they have problems with heat from the LED unit so life may be short.

For the money I would get something else.

I have one in my 4D cell and like it. I'm not a flashlight connoisseur, so I don't have much to compare it to. Brighter than a regular bulb and it hasn't broken even though I beat the crap out of it. I'd get another if i lose this light. I'm sure there are better lights out there, but this one is relatively cheap, and it works.
