Greetings,
Thank you for taking time to read this and hopefully helping me out.
I'm looking to put a scope on my 16" M4.  My need is for a illuminated optic that has a low magnification for closer shots and the ability to zoom in for long distance.   I have been mulling over the Accupoint 1.25x-4x for it's constant illumination and variable power.  Although i'm a little skeptical since there is no bullet drop compensation and it's max power is 4x.  So here are a couple questions:
-What range is 4X good for?
-What is the highest magnification that can be used in CQB?
Thank you very much!
Take care

4x in my opinion should be good to 300m, just more accurate than iron sights.  How close are your quarters?  1.25X is much different than 1x.  Honestly, it depends on what you're doing and how much time you have to change the magnification.  Going from RT to SL/CBQ shouldn't happen in an instant and with a little training/ practice you should be good.

BDCs are fun but not necessary.  Learn to use the triangle to estimate distance. If memory serves the triangle height is 12MOA.
