Instead of hijacking the thread, I thought I would start my own. I am familiar with the fact that the Aimpoint 3x works well with the Eotech, but in This Thread there appears to be other types of scoped optics used in conjuction with the Eotech holosight. Does anyone have any info, or any better pictures of these devices?

Thats the Eotech magnifier. I plan on sticking to the Aimpoint magnifier with my Eotech. The Eotech magnifier and the Eotech needed to mount it to will run together, I believe over $900.

Has anyone tried mounting the 3x in front of the Eotech? So that you magnify your target, while keeping your reticle fine and precise.

It works great with it behind the Eotech, I can't see the need to put it in front.

It actually works better for me with the Eotech than it does with the Aimpoint.

It may be something that you need to try out for yourself to really understand.

It does magnify the target. It magnifys everything in front of the 3X.

I think he wants to keep the EoTech reticle from blowing up 3x after putting the magnifier behind the reticle. You cant really do that, magnified optics have a semi-specific distance your eye needs to be from their lens. If you put the magnifier in front of the EoTech, you wont be able to see squat.

I think the Aimpoint magnifier works a little better with the EoTech than it does with the Aimpoint because with the Aimpoint, you have to look through 2 tubes and 4 lenses. This isnt as clear or as opened up as when you work it with the EoTech with its large, single window.
