My MOE is great. Not sure how much better the CTR could be.

I have both on comm. tubes. The CTR locks up really tight. 0 rattle. I'd say its worth getting the CTR.

If it weren't for the lack of the QD sling swivel on the MOE, I would have it on 2 of my rifles. I don't care about the friction lock, not worth the extra $50 IMO.

I agree that the friction lock isn't worth the extra premium. That said, I use the CTR for the QD sling mount.

I have both and unless you are going to be using the sling point, I don't, just get the MOE.

If you put your exact question into google you get more then five pages of relative information on your question. This is one of the questions that has been beat to death, use search features before flooding the forum with rapidity.

I run the CTR for the sling swivel, and the lock is useful. I could live with the MOE if that's all I could get.

This, and Ive heard there have been a few issues with the CTR lock breaking or malfunctioning in some way. Both stocks are pretty sweet, I own several of both.
