More info is in the Magpul Industry section, but for those who don't go there.... the ACS is officially in production and shipping. Magpul ACS Info PDF Magpul ACS Review For people who have them, lets see what they look like on your builds.

| Funny you put this on today. i just got a coupon from Streichers and this was in the add. I didn't even know they were making this until yesterday and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it. I do have a question though, I see that it only has one sling loop hole and what looks to be a sling quick release spot on each side. Are those the only 2 sling attach spots or are there more hidden somewhere? |
| Correct, the QD mounts are thankfully not a standard item. The majority of people are mounting their slings off the receiver in one form or another, so it makes the ACS cheaper not having to include those parts. At least its cheaper for those of us that don't need the QD sockets. |

Are those the only 2 sling attach spots or are there more hidden somewhere? This is my only problem with the ACS design. I think Magpul made a big mistake when they left out the additional sling webbing slot that runs parallel to the butt of the stock, as you would see on the CTR. That single webbing slot they put down on the funky angle, at the bottom of the ACS appears as if it's going to be useless to me. I have also never been a fan of push button, QD swivels, but it now appears as if I'm going to be trying them out on the ACS, because despite this disappointment, I just bought an ACS. I will reserve any further comments until I actually receive the stock, but I know for a fact that I really will miss having the sling webbing slot in the MUCH better location, like on the CTR's. I will probably still like the stock however, and I'm sure it will be a keeper. I hope it's not months and months until the FDE one's become available.. |

Looks good. That reminds me, I need to call a local I built a rig for using the FDE ACS I snaked. Nice looking. |
