The MS3 is one of the first single points I have used without body armor, and so far I am digging it.  I am using a DD bolt on adapter with a push button quick release to mount it on the rifle so i didn't have to remove the buffer tube for a more high speed instal.  Youi can quickly transition from primary to secondary weapon, and allow the rifle to drop to your side after releasing it.   There may be a better retention solution for your rifle out there, but for around $40 for the sling, it's a lot of gear for the money.

Check out the Quad Sling from Savvy Sniper.  I'm on my second one.  I had an MS2,but its really not in the same league.  There are a ton options so you can have your sling exactly the way you want it.  They made mine extra long at no charge.  You can get  bungee or no bungee, qd of hook...however you want.  I had a short time to mess with the MS3.  I didn't see if as a big upgrade to the MS2 (which I thought was great at the time).  Give Savvy Sniper slings a look before you make your decision.

The MS3 is much improved over the MS2.  The new snap clips are genius and the wider webbing isn't a velcro magnet.  It's a solid sling choice.

I didn't think it was that big of an improvement.  I'm as big a Magpul mark as any here, and I think the MS2 and MS3 are fine slings, but I don't think they compete with some of the to choices.  Now granted for $40-ish, it's a certainly cheaper than the Quad sling at $60, but the available options to have the sling just the way you like it make it worth the extra $20 in my opinion.

OP asked about MS2 vs MS3 that's where my comments were directed.  I've pull tested the new MS3 snap clip to a max of 400 lbs and it didn't fail...the old Made in China snap shackle on the MS2 failed much sooner.  The 1" tubular webbing on the MS2 is a velcro magnet and will fray; the new 1.25" webbing on the MS3 isn't.  I've been using the MS3 for just over 2 months now and so far I'm liking it quite a bit.  Now, will I be dumping my padded VCAS slings into the gear box of no return?  Of course not, but the MS3 is well made and easily outclasses its predecessor.

I've had my MS3 for about a week.  I'm not an operator by any means but I like it.  Very high quality, easy to adjust, reasonably comfortable and very versitile.

I think I need to find a new sling adapter plate though.  It isn't jiving too well with my IKH S.L.A.P. in two point mode.  The plastic section of the hook is being chewed up but that's only cosmetic.  The guts of it are very strong and steel I assume.  I don't really want to use the Magpul ASAP plate because of the goofy noisy (I read) dinging chain link, but it might be the best option for me.

Thanks for the kudos!

BTW we use the link on the ASAP to provide uninhibited swing without binding unlike some other designs.  I suppose it can make a little noise when not slung up, but nothing that's any louder than all your other gear moving about.  Also, the MS3 can clip directly to the cross bar on the ASAP if you don't want to use the ring but sling swing is not as fluid.

I like my MS2 pretty well. I got to play with the MS3 the other day and I would say that if I was in the market for a new sling I would be looking at it, I just don't see it as enough of an upgrade for me to purchase at this time over the MS2. If you want a sling that goes 1 to 2 point I think its great.

I just started using an MS3.  I love it so far.  I changed from using a VCAS.  I use mine in conjunction with a MAD adapter and I like the setup.  I didn't like the ASAP slider because I don't have my M4 slung up when patrolling and I didn't want the extra noise.  Yes, gear makes noise, but I didn't want to add to it.
