I've just installed a PRS on my AR & it is a little bit loose from the lower receiver eventhough the buttstock screw is tightened pretty tight. There is still a 1/8" space between the screw & the buttstock. I did not add a buffer tub spacer as I bought the buffer tube, spring & buffer seperately. Do I need to use a spacer for the PRS? I don't want to screw up anything by trying to tightened the screw any further as it is pretty tight now.

I had no problems with mine! Bought it right from a dealer and told them I had a Stag Arms stripped lower and I would need the right buffer tube, spring and shit and got it all in one shot. I knew there are different sizes, so I just had the dealer pick the right parts out and bought everything at once. Great stocks in my opinion!! Really worth the money for the level of adjustability you get. Wouldn't matter much on anything but a precision rifle, but I did put my 14.5" A3 upper on that lower and it would make a good carbine stock too, but heavier of course.

Checked with the manufacturer. There is no difference in an A1/A2 buffer tube itself. You also don't need a spacer. Just get a bigger screw driver (so you won't strip the screw & tighten the hell out of it). Problem fixed. Hope this helps others who decide to take this route. I am happy with the results. Now all I need is a Match Trigger & a Match Upper.
