I've got an older Bushmaster (carbine,1994) and want to install an "enhanced" ie. larger TG. Problem is: the left side of the lower is solid sealed. No push thru pin. Was this design just to drop the TG thus allowing gloves or other access? The kit includes the two roll pins, but how the F do I remove the forward pin? TIA Surv

Simple spring loaded affair. please disregard. Now, the roll pins are another matter...  surv.

Be very careful not breaking the ear of the rear pin hole of the lower receiver, always use a block to support the ear while gently tapping on the rear roll pin.

I use a half inch thick hard plastic block not a wood block because the wood block would also compress and not strong enough, I also drill a small hole slightly larger than the roll pin so the pin have somewhere to go when I drive it down.

Another good tip would be to use a large channel lock or visegrip with a lot of layers of tape on the tools teeth to prevent scratching, then finish it with a support block and tapping with a pin punch.

See the tacked instructions thread on top of this forum.

These are the things that allow us to learn new things. That pin can't be punched out, oh it's spring loaded. See, now you know. Just sad someone didn't jump in to tell you that.
