| I did a search and couldn't find anything. Does anyone offer a 9mm magwell installation service? I've got the lower and a Colt block. |
| Not sure exactly how the colt is installed but if it's anything like the promag block that I use it's super easy. Get a small enough punch and a hammer to drive the pin holding the bolt catch out. Make sure to hold the bolt catch as there is a spring behind it. Push mag block down into the top of the mag well. Press the bolt catch back in place and drive the pin back in. Should take ten mins tops. |

Look into M60 Joe. He's really well regarded in this area. He also modifies Uzi magazines to fit AR magwells, and can mod them to operate bolt hold open as well.
Enjoy! |

I got in touch with him but he wouldn't send me his FFL or FFL number to ship it to him. Any other suggestions? |

You dont need his FFL to send your parts to him.. I sent him a suppressor yrs ago.. just box it up and ship it via UPS or Fed-Ex. You as individual is free to send rifle for repairs... handguns is different story, we wont go there.
I assume you just sending bare lower, or whole rifle ? |

Yes, I do need his FFL to send a firearm to him. I'm not about to send a firearm to someone without confirming they have an FFL, and the fact he said "I'll pass" when I asked for his FFL number to perform an EZ Check isn't good business. Back on topic - any FFLs who do this kind of work? |

Yes, I can send my rifle for repairs...to someone that has an FFL. I can't send it to just anybody. Man, people post some strange shit on ARFCOM. |

M60Joe is an 07FFL / 02 SOT to best of my knowledge.. I have sent him my AWC Mk9 suppressor for service with no concerns.. I have met him, and shot his 249 a few yr back Well, then as long as it's to the best of your knowledge, then he should by all means proceed. And I'm sure that the address is the same as the one on the FFL. ATF: "Why did you ship a firearm to a non-licensee?" Adv96: "Well, this one guy on ARFCOM...he said he was sure it was OK." Really? |
| Did Joe "refuse" to send an FFL, or did he just not respond? He IS a licensee, so he knows the rules and shouldn't have a problem providing a copy of his license, or at least his license number. You CAN look up an FFL just from his license number. It's called FFLeZCheck It works for any license except for C&Rs. |

Refused, and refused to send just the number when I asked for it to perform an EZ Check. He could very well have a license. But, he didn't want to send it to me so no business for him. |
