I thought that I should share with the group. BRD has hit me again. 3rd AR since joining the site. Kept it simple this time: LMT 14.5 w/SDI extended A2 LMT Defender 2000 w/Sopmod Stock and 2 stage trigger Bravo Company Ion Bonded M16 BCG (all courtesy of Denny at GTS)  Just picked up the lower today, haven't even taken off the tag.  I also bought a Sig P226 to make me feel less guilty about the BRD.

I contracted BRD this past January 08' when home on vacation, it was aweful. The wife gave it to me ! Now it has seemed to spread as the second bout has just hit. I say it's the wifes fault, that is what I tell her. She just keeps buying the stuff, it's crazy and I don't know what to do at times (well maybe). She just ordered a complete lower yesterday and should have it in hand by the end of the week and the complete upper should be there too.Damn me for being down range and not home truely enjoying the sickness and my wife  . Man I really do miss my wife.

I just got into this BRD in the past couple months. My first was a Sabre Defence SPR $2K, add bad ass scop $1200, add Larue mount and all kindsof stuff from Larue $400. I just got it dialed in this past Saturday, So thats $3600 in so far....... I spoke with Noveske today and they are putting together a price for a custom 23" barreled .204 rifle for me....... Dang it, I got a bad case. I have been looking at lowers today as well for a short barrled carbine build... I was warned and I did not listen. Is there therapy for this? Here is my Sabre.....    |
Yes. But it is not cheap or effective. You WILL relapse. So my suggestion is to save your therapy $ and put it into more guns.

Dang! You guys aren't making me feel any better! I am only on build #2 and I am already planning build #3!!! Is there a support group, or 12 step program.... hock.gif I am curious about the IonBonded BCG. Have you shot it much? How is the cleanup? |
Nice rifle. That's the exactly the same setup I plan on building when I get back from deployment! Well maybe a SBR but how much did that end up costing you?

12 step program: 1 Admit you have a problem 2 buy lower 3 buy upper 4 buy stock 5 buy bcg 6 buy fcg 7 buy barrel 8 buy handguard 9 buy muzzle device 10 buy optics 11 accessorize 12 REPEAT!!

I haven't got around to shooting with the Ion Bond BCG. My other LMT has the LMT enhanced BCG. I put roughly 400 rounds through it this weekend and it worked great. To the gentleman asking how much I spent, I am afraid I cannot answer that here. My GF reads these forums too. Price it out on GTS.
