| Ok I just bought a quarter circle 10 9mm rifle and I want to make it a fully suppressed rifle. I was looking at a 11.5 barrel and a 5 inch suppresser but I want to keep the suppressor permanently attached. I asked around but some gunsmiths are telling me it's not worth keeping it permanently attach. And just sbr the gun what should I do because I just want to pay one stamp not two. |

put a 16" OAL barrel and use it as a rifle or build it as a pistol (assuming it's not already a rifle) and use your suppressor. Pretty much your only two options if you only want 1 stamp and not do a lot of custom work. The only other 1 stamp option I can think of is an integrally suppressed upper with a permanently attached baffle stack...but now you're going full custom. |
| Check out D3LLC for their integrally suppressed 9mm. I got to shoot it the other week and it is QUIET! |

Just looking at that picture makes me think that "integrally suppressed" with them doesn't translate to "not SBR". Just looks like a short barrel that has the suppressor mount at the base rather than the end. |

Yeah, the site says "Barrel/Suppressor length, 14" installed". Don't know why they wouldn't just do an extra 2 inches if they are manufacturing it.
But I definitely like the direction that they are going with the vented barrel to bleed off velocity of the 115 grain rounds. |

You missing something.. that system is a rough copy of a MP5SD front end.. the ported barrel, with the canister removed, makes for SBR if used on a rifle.. On the MP5SD, it irrelavent, as the MP5 is a machine gun, and barrel length rules dont apply to machine gun.. MP5SD is commonly a (2) stamp firearm, 1 firearm, and 1 suppressor. Read posts in past where 'SD users have had jacket remnants fill can, I think 1 fella found copper noodles in his,, so who ever port barrel better not leave burr to scrape bullet You better off doing the SBR,, and a suppressor,, then you can use suppressor on what ever you want.. |

No. I didn't miss that. As a matter of fact, when I shot it with James we talked a lot about their design and the SD. This gun is what I was looking for, and until the ATF changes its mind, I will have to do 2 stamps. That's good to know about the barrel and checking it for burrs. I'll have to make sure to do that when I get mine. Thanks for the info. |

You can get a 16" integrally suppressed 9mm upper here: SRT Arms
I have the 13" which is a two stamp gun, but he makes a 16" that would only be one stamp. This gun is so quiet that the timer we use in competition will not pick it up unless it is held within about a foot of the gun. You can see at the end of this video where the RO holds the timer right next to the gun. 2G-ACM video
