Saw some black friday sales coming up...
Thinking of getting M&P lower and LMT upper. Any reason why i shouldn't? and is there anything around same price point I should get instead? Mainly just range gun and desert shoots. This'll be my first AR.(CA legal) Thanks. |

I bought my LMT barebones upper from Bravo Company a while ago, it was cheap so I figured what the hell.
So far, it eats ANYTHING I feed it, I can't say enough good things about it. I wish I would have picked up two, because they are more expensive now. I can't comment on the M&P lower, as I've never owned one. |

M&P fcg is similar to standard GI trigger. Little heavy but crisp and better feel IMHO compared to some of the others out on the market.
I have the M&P 15T and can't find any complaints about it except for the aesthetics (laser etched M&P logo). Perhaps a wish that it came with 1:7 barrel to shoot some heavier ammo, but otherwise it's g2g. |

Thanks. If a shop is selling an "16in LMT complete upper" are they generally the same all around? Or should i find out more specific specs? They will be the same. LMT makes 2 types of uppers: the standard mil spec upper with barrel length options of 10.5, 14.5, 16, and they make the MRP upper which has a quick change barrel system. |

Thanks for the replies guys, definitely be considering those, and will be buying something by Thanksgiving.(also think i convinced the gf to get one)
What do you gentlemen think between the Larue PredatAR 16" and LMT CQB MRP 16". both in 5.56? Or are they too different to compare? |
