I hate to ask an un-informed question, but I cannot find any answers to this...

Is there an Available under barrel 12ga Shotgun Mount for the M4-Clone?  Is there a Complete System?

Looking through the ban info, I cannot find anything that would make adding one Illegal, did I miss something?

Anyway,  I think it would be a nice addition for a little extra punch.

Thanks

I seem to remember something about this scenario being covered by the NFA not the AWB.  Unless I'm completely off base here, September 13 or not it would be a violation to create a Masterkey configuration.  Hell, I think the Army has even stopped using that setup in favor of a separate shooter armed with a shotgun for popping the door.

Requires red tape paperwork and a tax just like a SBR, I believe.  That is mentioned on the www.impactguns.com webpage for the Masterkey.

Its best left to teenagers who watch Predator one too many times.  Truly its a joke, its next to worthless, and destroys the balance and utility of your rifle.  My suggestion is to stop the idea asap and try to have a sevicable weapon instead.  The shotgun was only to be used as a door breaching instrument and your better off using a seperate shotgun for breaching duties if a shotgun MUST be used at all.  If you considered actually shooting at people with the thing you are probably too far from reality for my post to have an effect on you.

I agree with DevL.  Looks cool, little to no use.  Not judging, just providing suggestions.

Hey the masterkey is great......................

If all you do is play Delta Force on your computer.  Real easy to kill Tangos and "G's" at 25 yards with this system.

The Masterkey system was developed for one specific unit, with one specific mission.  Its a lockbuster and nothing more.  As such is was pretty much only pulled out for use during a very specific mission type.

I spent a few years SUPPORTING a bunch supposed soldiers who always needed a haircut and never addressed each other by their proper rank :-) and they had the masterkeys in the arms room, but never used the system.  Always had a guy with a pistol grip or folding stock shotgun and various ammo types as a secondary weapon since the masterkey was basicly useless if you had to be able to go from Green to Black in the the course of a mission.

Edited to add that:  Masterkey, What Rifle did Al Pacino use in Revolution and Anyone ever belong to a Frat are becomming the all time top questions around here.  Perhaps we should address them in the CoC LOL.

With a 10 Inch Barrel, It woulnt be good for anything past opening doors.

Ill file that one in the same folder folder with the "flare Launcher".

Thanks Everyone.

I met a guy from the 160th SOAR who said that they used (of course) seperate breaching shotguns and in some cases did load #4 and oo buckshot into them for anti-personell use.

We made the mistake of buying one so our breacher could have a decent entry and breaching setup in one... It sat in the arms room unused until we finally traded it off for something much better. Now our breacher just uses an M1S90 Entry model. It's a lot better like that.

IIRC, the Masterkey weighs more than a damned M203.

For that much trouble you can get an M203.

Normally, I would say they look cool but in practice SUCK!  However, check out this 2lb 11 oz underbarrel shotgun.  It even has a 5 round magazine.

Thats pretty Neat, But with the Short Barrel, It would be a lot of trouble to own...

Anyone one ever put a Win 1300 "Defender" or so under a 20" Hbar?  :)  Would seam more practical and Cheaper...

PSYWAR,

The word "supposed" seems out of place in your sentence.  Could you please elaborate and clarify in case some of us got the wrong impression.
