First question: are they any good?

Second question: I see a few sponsors selling them pricing from 50 - 90 bucks... are there different models? why such a large difference in price?

.Mil issue FWIW...so there are literally 1,000s of them in use.

There is an alleged tendency for the mount/bolt to break; so much so that B.A.D. makes a replacement, but I've never had/seen one break.

They are more complex than you need in a pure BUIS; they have a range adjustment which always seems to be someplace other than where you left it.

I can't explain the wide variance in price, but they are the same...so go for the cheaper one as long as it's a reputable source.

Bottomline:  I bought 3 of them last time I found them on sale (near the low end of your price range).

The M4 / M16A4 BIS is Class IX.  Same as magazines... if you see what I'm getting at.

Same reason Brownell's tan follower magazines are cheaper than green follower magazines.

+1 to everything else he said, though.  I use several - get 'em cheap.  The real deal is literally common enough and cheap enough, that even the airsofters don't bother making knockoffs.

Love mine

You can snag them off of Ebay for around $35-40 all day long, and at that price they are a hell of value
