[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Matech Rail Location help

Hey guys, I got a matech and I put it on my flat top in the T1 slot, but it makes getting to the charging handle harder. Is it more common to put them on T2 slot? will that affect anything.

I was thinking it might affect the point of impact with changing distance.

Basically where does the USMC put theirs at? the very last slot (t1) or the next one up at (t2)

I mount mine in the slot closest to the charging handle. that way if fits, folded down, behind my optics.

Yeah I figured that is where it goes. I'm gonna have to get an extended latch or something, it is all up in the way.

I have mine in T2 for the same reason you described, to better clear the charging handle.

Same here. I really doubt that moving it one slot forward will hurt anything.

and if you have an optic, oh my god, it's impossible to get to the charging handle with any sort of speed and comfort.
