how do i tell what is a real and what is a fake matech 600m BUIS? i am really wanting to get one, but there are so many on gunbroker, in a vast aray of prices and don't know if some are just trying to get rid of there stuff or if they are dupes.
Thanks, TA |
All real ones have the word MATECH underneath the sight, along with their cage code I believe. The real commercially sold ones have the Picatinny Arsenal "Cannon Gate" logo, with the word "Picatinny" below it, on the ejection port side of the sight. If there is no logo it is either fake, stolen .mil property, or by a slim chance "surplus". ![]() ETA: Quoted: Most people are just trying to dump their sights in search of a different one. Unfortunately the chicom copies are almost identical to the USGI ones. And the ones still in the wrapper are probably stolen .gov property. The legal commercially sold ones come in the same blue bag, along with the same instructions, that the military ones come in. |
