This is my second AR build.  First was a 7.62x39 pistol built as cheaply as possible.  I have about $500 in the pistol with the free EOtech on it.  I don't have any pictures of that build, but it cycles just fine and will ring steel at 250m.

For this build I am going a bit higher dollar.  My parts list is as follows:
Mega Maten ambi lower
Maten extended rifle length keymod upper
geissele DMR trigger
Magpul PRS
JP LMOS carrier and enhanced bolt
JP SCS buffer
Ergo palm shelf grip
raptor ambi charging handle
Krieger 21 3/4in barrel 1-11 twist, fluted with PA M11 brake
norgon ambi mag release
standard safety for now

I am currently undecided on optics and color.  I am thinking about having the upper, lower, handguard and brake done in shadow bronze cerakote.  I was thinking I could do the cerakote myself but with the cost of the cerakote, time, access to a blast cabinet, and oven I think I may be better off having someone do it for me.

The barrel will not be done for a while, so I have time on the undecided parts.  As for optic I am looking for one that I could use out to 1000m.  I have my eye on a few, but with the cost I will sell a motorcycle this spring to be able to buy one.  No mount yet either as I want to get one to match the scope and not need bushings.

If anyone has any tips on helping accuracy I am more than happy to hear them.

Looks good from what I can see.  To help accuracy would be to handload ammo for it and develop a round.  The Krieger barrel should do most of the work for you, but you can check to see if you can send them your bolt and have them headspace it off of the bolt.

Buy up some varieties of ammo and try some good Match stuff.  I'm sure once it's done it will be very nice.

I sent the bolt to Krieger the day I placed the order.  So they are headspacing and chambering it for me.

I already have the dies for 308, they are lee dies.  I plan on trying it with different factory loads to see what range it prefers then working up a hand load from there.  Still have some research on what powders and bullets seem to run best in this platform, but I have time so no rush on anything.

Your budget is big...

I sold my Maten honestly... it did it because it didn't make sense to me..

You can buy a sweet POF 308 for about the same price.. or even buy a dirt cheap M&P 308 and throw a better trigger in it and still have a decent build that would cost less than a MaTen build.

Everything seemed to get exponentially higher quick and didn't make sense.

For a scope, this might be one to take a look at:

Yes the build is costing a bit, and I could buy a POF, BRO, or any number of others for about the same or less.  But building lets me know exactly what is in it, no argument on how good that companies barrel is, or trigger, or rails etc.  Plus building I get the parts I want right from the start.  Plus building I just got a part at a time so the cost was spread out.  Plus in Washington most places want 3-4K+ on anything higher end.  Even AKs that sell for 5-600 in Oklahoma are $1000+.

I have a while until I need a scope as the barrel will take a while but that one will definitely go on the list of possibles.
