Well I decided to buy a Mega billet upper and lower set from a local store. I didn't spend a ton of money on the overall build, I admit, I'm one of those guys that really enjoys AR's but I only get to shoot about 500 rounds a year.
I went with a less expensive build approach, outside of the rather expensive upper/lower. I used a Palmetto state FN M4 bbl, palmetto/magpul lower parts kit, Seekins rail. Nothing fancy but it came out pretty nice. I also have an eotech 516 for it. Pics:

What hand guard did you use? Is that a Seekins rail? If you ever feel like upgrading any of the lower parts, a good trigger makes a HUGE difference
