Mega lowers > Build It Yourself

How do they rank with the other lowers. I am getting ready to built my first ar-15 lower I plan to use a RRA kit and 2 stage trigger. any suggestions

Mega's are some of the nicest lowers around. They are my preference for any build I do.

Mega lowers are just as good as any others that I have, imo. The one unique thing about a Mega is the machine work on the front of the mag well, kindof serrated grip like.

I, too, am getting ready for another build and I'm leaning toward the Mega lower (to match the Mega upper that I just bought). One reason that I went with the Mega was the finish is suppose to be some of the best but I also wanted a "Multi Caliber" marked lower - not 5.56/.223

Love Mega's. As long as the $$$ dont get outa hand, that's all I'm gonna be buying. Great fit and finish. Plus, I like the logo, and after all, thats all that seperates most forged upper and lowers anyhow. You wont be sorry.

Just curious, but why do some have a Mega "atomic" logo while others don't? Personally, I like the clean look and might be interested in getting a logo-less lower.

The Logo deleted Lowers are from JC Weaponry.
They are worth the money.

OhioAstromech - That is an older pic. She now has a RRA LPK, Ergo grip and Magpul trigger guard to go with the Vltor carbine stock. Also has a 14.5" CMMG M4 bbl, LaRue rail and my Troy BUIS is on the way. She is also getting an EOTech sight and a Borbo vertical foregrip.

She looks beautiful!
I'm going for a 16" M4 Barrel, M4 collapsable stock, YHM Solid Quad Rail, and a ARMS #40L BUIS.
I'm not sure what BCG I will be using yet.
My dream is to get a Trijicon ACOG TA31F and a MD3R PentagonLight but that will be long after I get the main rifle built.

OK, the complete lower on the right was configured like the complete weapon on top. I got the urge for a bolt gun and swapped the upper for an A-Bolt. It will have a new upper soon.

As of today, switched to FDE furniture, painted a KAC VFG with FDE in a can, and swapped my Magpul trigger guard out for a new Oberland Arms triggerguard...

I'm really liking the look of the logo-less Mega lowers. Though it's just a cosmetic thing, I've yet to see a logo (except perhaps Colt), that I didn't think looked tacky. I'd love to find one marked 5.56, as opposed to ".223" or "Multi"...

Just bought my first lower on saturday, yep it's a MEGA.
I have to say, it's a thing of beauty, the fit and finish puts my bushmaster to shame.

once I get everything together, it's gonna be a 9mm.

I called Mega today and Brian said that they have the uppers back in stock. They just have to do the final inspection and they'll be shipped out from there. He said they should have them shipped by the end of the week. With that said, we should have 50 of them on the way.

Being a MEGA fan myself, I wonder if any one has ever LEGALLY build one with the fun switch(rdias) is only way I can think of for use mere Plebes to do it.

I highly recommend the MEGA lower. I've put together quite a few ARs now with several different makes of lowers and so far the MEGA has been the nicest. I would stay away from RRA lowers. The one I used in my last build was way out of spec.
