I lurked around this site for some time and gathered a bunch of info before attempting my first AR build. I decided on a gas piston setup and really liked what I read about the Mega products. Unfortunately I did not get pics along the way, but the finished product is better than no pics at all. I thought I would share for other first time builders...a little research goes a long way.

I too lurked on here for a coons age. I didn't go piston but i went with a Mega lower and it's aweoms. Fit is great on my Rainier Gen 2 upper. I dig your rifle, but I'm not a fan of the coloring on the lower and the MEGA on the upper. Thanks....I did the color fill as sort of an experiment. I am not sold on it, but figured I would just leave it till I do the camo paint. |

Looks good. Let us know how she handles. Well...being that I am new to AR's, I'm not so sure I know how to explain the handling characteristics without sounding like a newbie lol. The recoil and muzzle rise are minimal. It's fairly light compared to my 20" Spikes. I have not put a ton of ammo through it yet, so more to come :-) |
