my wife is willing to buy a upper/lower combo of my choice. im torn between my 2 fav a Spikes Billet upper/lower (would preorder next week) OR a mega billet upper/lower
any idea's suggestions to steer me one way or the other. |

i like the spikes lower better, but like the mega's upper better. i wouldnt wanna mix match them. and i really like the idea of assembling the spikes with out a hammer n punch (or vice grips in my case) |

i'm not going to lie, the Spike's billet combo is very nice, but i'd get the Mega since it's equally as sexy if not more, and you'll save almost $200 that you can put towards a rail.
BUT if i had tons of cash, i'd get the Spike's billet upper and lower, and wait fro their new rail that they're teasing. |

Oh, and it's over $100 cheaper, and comes with a CH. I'll post some better pics of my rifle, with optic, when my Larue mount shows on Thursday. Spikes's has the ambi controls, but that doesn't mean much to me. Even though I'm a lefty, I prefer to stick with manual of arms that apply on any carbine I'll pick up. Don't get me wrong, the Spike's is dead sexy, a first rate product, and a great deal at $499. I'll probably get a set somewhere down the road. That said, the Mega deal is the best thing going at the moment, in my opinion. |

thanks everyone for the input, the TAC, Spikes, Mega, and Black Rain where all fine pieces. and i dont think i could go wrong with any decision.
butttttt im going with Mega, the overall sexiness of the mega won me over, and i like the rich color. the main reason i didnt go spikes was cause i do not like the ejection side of the upper, i dont like the forward assist/shell deflector design, it's just not my taste, i like the cleaner look of the mega. and dont get me wrong i love spike stuff, i got 2 of their normal lowers, one on my beowulf and one awaiting a LPK. |

this will mostly be a range gun, i got normal lowers for my SHTF guns n such |
I do not mind the Spikes logo on the lower but if you were to build a complete Spikes rifle you would have about 15-20 spiders all over your stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, yeah, slight exaggeration but you get the point. Makes it look too gaudy if you ask me, which you didn't but it is my opinion on it
