[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mid Length Handguard Question

Where is the best place to get a GOOD set of standard hanguards for a mid-length gas system? I know RRA sells them, but I read where the heat shield slides around inside. I want a set where the shields stay put! Any suggestions are appreciated.

I would wait for the magpul MOE mid-length handguards that are supposed to be released soon.

Cav Arms C8. It's nice. Got one about a month ago. It's a little fatter than the little carine hand guard but not as fat as the M4.

What's the best handguards that are the same diameter as carbine HGs? The C8s are too plump for me - I want skinny.

+1 CAV ARMS C8s.. The C8s are realy close to the diameter of the regular car handguards( seem the same but I dont have my car anymore) at the reciever end then taper down to the FSB
