I am planning on getting a mid-length upper in 6.8mm in the near future and I want to put a scope on it, probably a Nikon Monarch UCC like I have on my bolt rifle. Would a 40mm objective scope that's 12" long look like too much scope for that size rifle? Most pics I've seen of midlengths have ACOGs, EOTechs, and Aimpoints so I can't get a good idea of what a standard scope looks like. I don't want to end up with a rifle that's attached to a scope instead of a scope that's attached to a rifle, so-to-speak. |
Thanks for posting that pic, it looks great. JD42, I've already made up my mind on the Larue mount. I saw a few pics with that particular mount and it looked to be exactly what I needed. |
It'll look big, but it's not bad, IMO. Also depends on how far forward you mount it too. (example: SPR vs. SPR-E mounts...) |
