I just finished my first AR, a RRA midlength, and am looking for a sling.  I want something that will hold the rifle secure when transfering to a sidearm, not dangling like a single point, but something that I can transfer from right to left shoulder with.  I'm looking at the CQB Solutions CST sling, and want to make sure that the CAR model for standard handguards will work properly and won't be too short with the midlength handguards.  I emailed CQB but haven't received a response.  Thanks for your help!

Still no word from CQB Solutions.  Does anyone know of any problems this combo might have?  Should I go with a rifle length sling or will the carbine length be O.K.?

The CQB Solutions CST Sling will work with any length barrel (16" or 20") and any length handguard (std carbine, mid-length and full-length).

Just ensure you get the correct combination for your handguards (tapered, oval or side sling swivel) and type of buttstock (standard or collapsable)

I beleive CQB Solutions is too busy building several large orders I've recently placed to monitor these forums!

Oh, btw, you might want to call our shop at 703.630.2715 to see if we have the model you need in stock!

Thanks for the reply and info!  I think I want the CST for security and ease of shoulder transfer.  I want a sling that will hold the weapon tight when transfering to a pistol, and I think the CST fits the bill.  Let me know what you think.  Also, due you stock the CST in black with the ERB for standard taper handguards and a postban M4 stock (the new ribbed version).  What's your price, I didn't see one on your website.

Thanks again!

I think this is just what you want.  The CST is my personal favorite.  While the wider webbing of the SOP is very comfortable, I find the rifle flops around a little too much with the 1" webbing attachments.
