I have a Burris FastFire 3 I use principly as a secondary optic on one of my AR, mounted at 45 degrees offset.  I am working on a SBR build and am going to use the FF3 as the primary optic temporarily until I get a T1 clone.  I dont want to spend much on this mounting cofiguartion as its temporary, so I am going to buy an el cheapo 3 slot riser mount and mount the FF3 to that via the 1913 base.  Which height would I want to get?  I dont have irons yet but if I do get them I will want lower 1/3 cowitness.  The riser mounts come in 1/2 inch, .83 inch, and one inch heights.

Thanks

5/8" is about right.  1/2 is too low (dot is in the top edge of the window), and 0.83 is too high.

Best bet is to spend the $$ for the Burris AR mount with wings.  Sorry.

The only other route is to get the 1/2", the get one of the two speed bead spacer plates and some custom longer screws.  Thats how mine currently sits, it was cheaper than the burris mount, but obviously a bit of a pain to find the parts, particularly the screws.

I went with the .8 (mid height) figured it would be the most comfortable and natural height for the way I shoot.  Decided that I am not too concerned with Cowitness as this is a temp config and I dont even own BUIS yet...
