| O.K. I have read more in the past 2 months than I did in High School. I have inquired at my local gun shops and have had mixed feedback. I am torn between the Bushmaster and the Stag... I have already read the opinions posted... Lots of info... the question is, are the lower and upper parts completely interchangeable between these two manufacturers? i.e. Will Bushmasters lower guts fit into a Stag lower receiver and vise versa with the upper parts? The answers I have received from local shops are, yes... no and I don't know... Is there a definitive answer? LOL... |

Gun shops are notoriously BAD places to get information on firearms & the law. The people in them are sometimes well intentioned, but most often intentioned on getting you to buy whatevers on their shelf. If you find a good shop, stick with it. As others have said, other than the CAR stock/buffer tube issue, they are 100% interchangeable in all other repects. I own products from both, and have no complaints. Tex78 |

While CMT is great quality, I just can't get over have a buck on the side of my rifle. I know it all shoots the same and it's a stupid reason to stay away from the brand, but it just doesn't seem right to have deer on a black rifle. Then again, I have a Bushmaster lower (that is impatiently waiting for another upper) that has a snake that looks like it was drawn by a 5-year old. Oh well... |
