I have a black M4A1 FSP rail inbound that will be getting chopped to a MK18 FSP rail. Who has done this and has some pics of the chop work during and after? Also did you guys spray paint them after or have them coated? Let's see some pics for inspiration.

I would imagine you would almost have to paint it though, as there would be exposed aluminum where you cut it. I mean, it's not going to hurt anything, but I would imagine it would look much better sprayed. |

I need some OCD type clone nazi advice on grips...
First, I just want to say for the record: I'm a fan of people using whatever grips they want on their CQBR/Mk18 clones, cuz those that use them in real life seem to change out the A2 grip for whatever they want on a regular. I personally make heavy use of the fugly umbrella corp grip Anyway, I'd like to know, for clone-correctness purposes, how we can determine if an A2 grip is a legit mil-profile A2 grip. Don't just say "buy colt yo." Give us some specs, lines to look for, pics, etc. I figure this, while pretty boring, may actually be useful to some - because there are a ton of cheap-assed fake A2 grip in circulation... Please, someone...enlighten us |

This one has an "F" on the inside near the hole for the screw. The other one I have has a shiny finish and has a "E" on the inside. Both of them seem to be the same size and are slightly fatter then the A2 grips that have come in lower parts kits. I actually don't mind the Colt versions of the A2 grip. |
