Has anybody purchased a ModGear Ultimate Carbine Case 36x12x4" case from CTD (the one in the EE)?  Would a 16" middie fit in it OK?  Is it a piece of sh!t made in Vietnam ()?  I did a search on rifle cases and couldn't find anyting on this case.  It looks like it should fill my needs (if the rifle fits) and the price is right.  Thanks.

Bought one about a month ago. Actually made by Condor. A decent bag, heavy cordura nylon construction with a lot of storage.

I'll probably get another one for my next build. $45 bucks, you can't go wrong. Perfect for a carbine/midlenth.

It's Condor, it's $45 & it fits 16"bbl w/stock collapsed. Best bang for your buck if you ask me!

I bought one of these from CTD and it fell apart on me in less then a month. The plastic hardware on the straps snapped when I had it loaded up for a trip to the range. I will say that Condor did send me a replacement strap, but it was the same as what came with it...a plastic snap hook. I got rid of it and bought the Voodoo Tactical bag from Sportsman's Guide and It is much better built and has lasted many range trips. The Voodoo bag also will hold 2 rifles and is just an all around better made bag.

Sportsman's Guide

If you look in the archives you will see a thread where lots of guys bought the Voodoo bag and were very very happy.

Good luck with your Condor bags and don't "load" them up too heavy

I've loaded mine up plus several hundred rounds of ammo. No prob. Also, my strap has metal hooks, not plastic. IDK what you had in yours but it'd have to be ALOT of ammo to break it. I can't imagine what happened to yours actually happening w/mine. By no means am I saying you lieing.

Got mine the other day.  It IS a Condor bag ("Condor" on the tag was a good giveaway).  The strap hooks and loops are plastic, and I can envision hook failure eventually.  That's an easy enough fix, I'll replace the hooks with metal- the plastic eyes for the strap hooks are beefy enough to take it.  All in all a good deal.

Thanks to all for the input, it was very helpful.
