Now with up to 1000lumens (on paper). All I know is that with the dead 123's that were in it it was about 10x as bright as with the stock lamp. Gonna get some new batteries today and unleash the fun this evening. I am sure the neighbors won't appreciate it. 
The original bezel/reflector housing is shown below. It added a bit of length, but the trade off for light output is fine with me. I could also shave about 3/16" off the front of the light, but I was too lazy to set it back up in the lathe.
