I bet I can get an answer here before Model 1 gets back to me.  Their 9mm CAR kits; do they come with the magazine block?  Or do I have to buy it additionally.  The kits look good but If I have to buy a magazine block then they seem a little expensive. Or am I being cheap?.  Anyone built one of these? Thanks.

You could like, ask Model 1...

Their site isn't too helpful; none of their 9mm kits indicate whether or not they include a magazine block.  But this is one of those issues that the vendor needs to understand-their web pages make it hard for some people to purchase from them because they don't provide enough/correct info.

I did ask.  In the form of an e-mail.  It was after business hours.  I just thought someone here might know or have built one before.

I await the answer eagerly.  This is quite interesting; as far as I know, Model 1 sells what is essentially a Rock River block (that's what the picture on their site is of).  Getting a complete kit including the block means you just get the lower receiver-as little as $90 for a quality part-and you're on your way for $800 and very little wait time.  Otherwise the total gets a lot closer to $950, depending on whether you get your block from M1S or someone else.

ADCO has 9mm RRA uppers in stock right now and most of the other parts to make up a similar kit to the one at M1S.

You can get RRA flat top upper complete, RRA block, 9mm buffer, RRA 6 pos stock, and RRA LPK for ~$790 delivered - just add a lower.

If the kit from M1S is actually COMPLETE except for the lower, it would be $735 plus shipping with a 6 pos stock - if they get you for $20 or so shipping it isn't that much cheaper than just buying from ADCO, or even sourcing some parts from a few places.  You could get the RRA flat top complete upper from Brownells for just at or under $450 delivered with the shot show discount - about $180 for their RRA block and buffer, $70 for a 6 pos stock, and $55 for an LPK - total would be about $755 delivered and they have everything in stock right now (forgot to add that it would be even less than that for those with LE/Mil/dealer discount ).

I'd assumei it comes with a Magblock as I've never seen a conversion kit that didn't.  Just put together a M&A Parts 9mm kit yesterday and it included what appeared to be a RRA Magblock.
