| Whats the deal with Model 1 Sales. I like the XM 177's. Are the kits good quality? I see alot about JT and all. Does anyone have input on these kits.. |

I have a CAR-15 upper half of theirs. It has been fine. It was even reasonably bore sighted when I got it. The gas key staking on the bolt carier group is kind of light, but as long as the gas key bolts don't back out I guess that doesn't really matter. The barrel seems pretty accurate. Shooting about 2" 10 shot groups at 100yds with open carbine sights with American Eagle 55gr fmj from an infromal bench rest. |
I've had one of their (NY safe post ban) XM177 kits for a while now. It shot great (I just rebuilt it) no problems. The roll pin for the trigger guard was too big, it was the hardest I ever tried to install. |

Hey folks! new to the sight here. I just bought a Model-1 Car-upper for my Bushy. I really like the look and feel of the finish. This is the A-3 configuration that has a teflon coating inside of the upper (bolt carrier housing) which really makes the carrier slide smooth. As for how it works? I wont know that till I go to Idaho this summer. I keep my Bushy in a gun friendly state. Seems like the commies in California are here to stay. |
| I have 2 uppers from them. A3's (16 and 20) ran like a champ. Put a full length rail tube on my CAR, but the barrel nut was torqued by a silver back ape. I broke all but 4 teeth off of the nut. Had to take it to a professional to get it off. I'm assuming they like the thread lock. Didn't have a torch to heat it up. Cheapest price so far and got them to me in less than a week. |
