Anyone use these? I was looking for a 16" barrel and saw Model 1 barrels at Midway that are reasonable, with good reviews.  What do you think? Thanks

Some recent observations are here. The two I've had were fine - a great value for the money.

Please do a search on here or Google before buying anything from them.

I just bought the same item you are looking at.  Midway sales unfortunately didn't know if carbine or not when I spoke to them.  They refered me to the Model 1 site.  The Model 1 site didn't specify, so I have to just go by the picturte.  It is a carbine, which is what I wanted.

The barrel itself is a terrific looking item.  It comes with the FSB and round handguard cap.  There is a barrel nut, but no delta ring assembly like normally come with most barrels.  No issue, just keep in mind when ordering parts.  There are also no sight, spring, or detent as advertised.  Again, infomation for the parts order.

I like the heavy barrel, and I made a FF assembly out of mine.  Fun though!  I'll tell you the MOA with sights and optics later...Waiting on the PSA charging handle that was suppose to come with my other $370 worth of parts.  Seems with all these wierd people ordering LBR parts - It's sometimes difficult to get parts and people to actaully put the correct parts in the box.  I understand though.

You will appreciate this barrel assembly.  Just know it is carbine and lacks the parts listed previously to not delay your build.

Good imfo, thanks. I saw the Sportsmanguide barrels, my budget is slim, but , very leary of that barrel. Would be interesting to know who makes them.

I think they are made by mossberg.  Most reviews have been good as far as I know.

I've had a M1S 11.5" barrel for years.

It's been ran hard through classes, shot suppressed, had an Ares Piston system installed at one point, and has seen much FA fire on my M16.

No problems whatsoever, after literally many thousands of rounds. It's now on my truck/HD gun.
