[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Model 1 experiences?

Hey all.
I'm building my first AR, and I just ordered (Fri) a 20" kit from Model 1. I've got all of the other stuff I need (at least I think I do :)), and I'm chompin' at the bit.
Can any of you guys testify as to your recent experiences with Model 1? Were you happy with what you got?
And how do they ship? UPS? USPS? They didn't tell me when I placed my order how they were going to ship or how much shipping would run, and at the time I didn't think to ask.

they are good to deal with, they ship ups, and i am happy with the kits i have bought from them, and will order again

I like the kits they sell. I have two of the 16" A2 carbines. The only things I would like to see different are forged front sights and of course chrome lined chamber bore. Other than that, I love my kits!

I concur with the above. I have built 6 or 7 kits total for myself, friends, and family. my only complaint was that they were verrrrry slow to send the stuff.
