Has anyone cut the slots all the way through an A2 flashhider? And would it have a positive or negative affect on the flashhiding capabilities?

A1 flash hider...

You mean making vents on the bottom just like the top?  That would essentially be an A1 flash suppressor, and it wouldn't make much difference if any at all.

That would be an A1. The extra slots do not help. If you go prone with an A1 you'll see why the bottom slots were deleted on the A2.

I haven't seen a difference prone. A lot of BS is put into the dust signature thing. If you want a real reduction, suppress it.

That damn Missouri clay wouldn't show the problem. Go somewhere with real dust and you'll see the problem.

Um, guys, I think he means has anybody EXTENDED the holes in the flash hider out to the end, making it into a pronged flash hider.

I wondered.

USGI three prong, shorty Vortex or PWS Triad should be something like that.

Yes that's what I meant. Extending the slots all the way to the end. Thanks for the reply's

Probably wouldn't do much for flash reduction while making it snag like a bitch on everything.

That's the one of the problems I was worried about. I'll just have to try it and see how it turns out.
