| QC10 lower/bolt. QC10 sent me lighter spring and I was able to get ETS mags to hold with a standard 9mm buffer and enhanced spring. Got my hands on a cheap q-9 buffer and I like how it has smoothed out the gun, but bye bye hold open. It holds open manually with a mag in, but not under fire. I'm guessing its too heavy to get the bolt far enough back to catch. Should I try a standard spring or will it maybe break itself in? Is there another option? |

manually pull the bolt back with the charging handle and see if you can get it to lock back.................I'm running Rock River Arms 9mm buffer, Sprinco red spring and using a New Frontier Armory spacer................
Initially, I couldn't get any of my factory Glock mags to hold the bolt open.................I bought four new ones and three of them hold the bolt open..............I also replaced the springs in three magazines with wolff extra power magazine springs................and all of them work............. Give QC10 a call............They answer the phone and I talked with them..........nice folks............... Try a standard spring............................. |

My 9Q buffer was like 1/8" too long. All the way back in the tube it wouldn't lock. If I ripped, and I mean RIPPED, the charging handle back with an empty mag it would lock.
I cut 1/8" off the poly bumper on the back of the buffer and it now works like a hooker on a street corner! The bumper. I bet if you measure the buffer it is 4 1/8" long or longer. I believe 4" was the magic number for me. |
