RRA NM 2-stage.  Have one in my RRA 16" middy and just installed one in my 10.5" RRA pistol. Best $95 I've ever spent on an AR.

I've tried several of the brands mentioned...and have to say that even though its just a little bit more involved to "Drop" it In, you can't beat the Rock River Two Stage.  I have one in all my AR's and Ar pistols.  Even got one in my DPMS LR308 and it works like a charm.  and as was mentioned, you can't beat the price when compared to the others.

I dont Trust ANY of the drop-in triggers although I cant speak for the one JP Enterprise makes.

Go with a Geisselle, RRA, or LMT 2 Stage. The Jewel and KAC are also good.

Depends on whether you want a one or two-stage trigger.  For slow-fire, a 2-stage is fine, for a shorter trigger reset for fast fire, a single (one) stage may be preferred.

The Jewell is nice but has a lot of small delicate pieces.  Great for range work.

The Knights is great, but pricey.

I've had no problems with Timney or McCormick, but prefer the Timney's stabilizing screws.

I'm not a fan of the Jard system either adjustable or non-adjustable.

The JP takes a little work to install, but once completed, is a nice single-stage as well.

Never tried the RRA.

For ultimate reliability I'd avoid small adjustment screws which takes away most of these systems.

RRA.  Just built my first AR Friday night.  Install was a snap and the 4#ish trigger breaks crisp and clean.  Definitely worth the extra $85!  For a first time build or for the weekend shooter, it can't be beat.  Of course, if you're a long range precision guy, there are more expensive adjustables available.

Go with Geissle well worth the money. Best available IMHO.

If you want a cheaper alternative, there's a guy named Bill Springfield that you can send your factory trigger group to and for 32 bucks he does amazing work. 4# pull, no creap, crisp clean break. Just got mine back today, sent it last monday. Sweet trigger now. He does 3# jobs for I think 14 bucks more (gonna have it done on my next one).

Search this board, there's post about him. I have his email if you want it.

Hope this helps, helped me and many others save a lot of money.

As per your title? RRA's 2 stage. No question. The Geissele is supposed to be superior. By the number of posts from people here who's oppinion I value, I'd guess that to be true. But as for most popular? I'll stake it's the RRA's. I've got two of them with a total somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500 rounds. No failures. Nice cleanpredictable break. Less than $100.00 each. No brainer. When funds allow ( $280.00 ), I will be getting a Geissele 2 stage to see what all the hulabaloo? is about. Until then, I'm glad I purchased the RRA's.
