[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mount Advice

Im currently working on mouting my new EOtech and I need some professional advice. Being as that I have no military experience, or law enforcement, I need some CQB mouting help.

My AR does not have a detachable carry grip, so, do I mount it on the carry handle or my surefire hand rails.

Below is a link to a quick site with the 2 setups on it. I know the pics are not resized...sue me I was in a hurry.

One thing to note, I have a larue eotech mount comming which will raise it on the handguard rails, so keep that in mind when looking at the pics. Thanks in advance guys.

Well the Bennie Coolie gooseneck mount is the better A2 mount setup. But, if you have a LaRue EO mount coming then I would get an A3 receiver and have your A2 replaced. It would be cheaper then buying the Coolie mount.

Did a search on google for that mount, didn't see it.

I really don't want to upgrade my upper just yet, Im kinda wanting to either mount it on the carry handle, or the grip.

So between the 2 positions, thoughts?
