I'm thinking of getting an Aimpoint CompML2 for my soon to be built M4gery. I want to stay as close to the US Military as possible. What would be the correct mount for this sight to go on the flat top upper of my carbine? |
Another mount that the military is using is the LaRue Tactical CCO mount... C4 www.gandrtactical.com

The 22M68 doesn't need to be adjusted every time it is swicthed from one rail place to another and don't need a wrench. They are very lite wt. and modular, not stuck at one ht., can be used low, med. high, and cantilever. Thats why so many are in service and are std. equipment, also advertised and sold by Aimpoint.![]() Jack |
Why so defensive Jack? No one said anything about the #22M68..... C4 |
Defensive? That did not seem defensive to me. I know your a dealer and a board sponsor and all, but you really should quit trying to pick fights. |
He was referring to the weight of the ARMS #22M68 VS the weight of the LaRue. He then went on to say that you gain the ability to adjust to the throw lever to match an out of spec rail (nothing to do with the #22M68). Your comment after his was that you don't need a wrench (referring to the LaRue Tactical mount) to go from one rail to another. You also forgot to mention that the ARMS throw lever and can be to tight and or to loose on a rail BECAUSE you cannot adjust it to match the rail. C4 |
Not picking a fight, but am making sure the facts are correct. Jack has his opinion and I have mine. I will not allow him to make people believe that there are no issues with his throw levers.... C4 |

If you want the QRP, you'll also need the spacer. I have them available here: www.adcofirearms.com/scopes.cfm?page=optics |
This will be my final reply and you may have the word. In your post that I quoted and replied to you said "Why so defensive Jack? No one said anything about the #22M68....." At no time did you make an attempt to give information in regards to the LaRue mount. The statement that you made to Jack clearly contained "inflamatory speech" . I have obtained and shared information on this board. I have taken note that most threads that turn into flame wars have you in them once again using "inflamatory speech" and offering you elitest opinions on optics. A lot of the posters here are honest working class people and cannot always afford the finest there is out there. They wish to discuss their purchases, choices or simply seek information and you come along and flame their choices. Being a dealer I would think you would conduct yourself accordingly. Many here post about receiving poor service. I am sure your service is good when an order is placed. Due to your "imposing personality" I would not give you my business. Since you are a dealer and you want to "be helpful" to all in ARF.COM land. How about using your dealer status and arrange some group buys on all this wonderful equipment that you feel so strongly about. You wont make as much, but in volume you will make enough. |

I've been using the ARMS #22M68 in different configurations for about 5 years, with no problems at all. I like the ability to change the height with different spacers based on the application. Another mount that has often been overlooked is the PRI high mount. I've been using one of these for about two years also, and I've been impressed with its ruggedness. It costs more than the ARMS mount ($169 vs. $99+spacer), but I feel it's a worthy contender if you won't need the height adjustment or tool-less quick release of the ARMS mount. I use and sell both, the ARMS seems to be more popular but they're both great mounts.. |
Your a around here so I will give you the benefit of the doubt as you most likely do know who "Jack" is. With your "elitest opinions on optics" comment you must be a turdpoint lover! If this is the case then you and I have two very different opinions of the world. You want to support communist made knock off products and I do not. People that KNOWINGLY buy Chinese made products for their AR will always get a response that they most likely won't like. I make NO apologies for that (is my opinion on the subject). I am always fascinated when people say that I should watch what I say because I am dealer. Why? Should I sugar coat everything in an attempt to get a sale?? That would be wrong in my book. If people don't like what I have to say then they don't have to shop with me! As far as a group buy goes, I cannot keep up with the LaRue Tactical order I have now! C4 |
Agree that the PRI is a very good mount as well.... C4 |
My facts are directed to people who want to know and read ref books, patents, etc., to verify. Not to somone that is giving a website for members to see in support of products that he is promoting. That is a fact Jack |
Jack, I hope your not referring to the Black Rifle II book. That is nothing more than an ad for ARMS. Yes I know that ARMS has patents (who doesn't). You are promoting ARMS just like I promote LT. What's the difference??? Are you jealous that I have a website and you don't? Another fact is that I PAY to promote products on this board. You do it for FREE! ![]() C4 |
Sure we can. You are a moderator, get C4iGrant squared away. You have to admit he is very imposing and assuming, and as his statement that I am a "TURDPOINT" lover, if that is not talking shit, I dont know what is. Statements like that are a consistant behavior for him. |
I did a search on your postings for the last 3 months and see that you are a turdpoint lover for sure! I love it when a WAG comes true! You are also barking up the wrong tree with Lumpy. He is after all the one that named the tacpoint the turdpoint! C4 |
Hey nice monkey! Look just like your momma! C4 |
|
lt557, What if LaRue had cratered to "Jack's" crap when "Jack" was ripping LaRue a new one with all his b.s. A.R.M.S statements earlier this year ? And so now you're asking the same moderators that knowingly stood by and did nothing during that episode to step in now ? Sorry, but that's BS. |
