I just bought an SF G2 LED flashlight and I'd like to know what the most cost-effective mounting solutions for this light are. QD isn't necessary and keeping down the weight would be good.
Thanks.

Looks like they are out at the time, but the Danger Close mount is a good choice.  They get the light tight into the rail and are very light weight.

Here is a link

EDIT  Looks like they have them in stock direct from Danger Close Consulting

I like the Viking Tactics offset mount for G2's. Very solid.

That Dealextreme mount is interesting. I just ordered that and this light I'll see how it holds up on my Saiga 12

That's funny, its nothing more than a 1" Weaver ring with a "GG&G" logo!

You will be surprised.

I bought one of their ultrafire (surefire ripoffs) for $15 and it is brighter then my G2 with the TNVC drop in. Before I got the G2 I had it on my rifle and it survived the 500+ rounds of 5.56 I fired with it on it.

Those lights are cheap but they are very nice. Infact that mount held the light much close to my rifle then the Vikings Tactical mount that I know have my G2 in.

Here is the mount in question with the ultrafire light

G2 in Viking Tactical Mount- I dont like how the mount doesnt really fit the rail

Good to hear, I was starting to think I was the only one. I like the original VTAC mount (except for how the screws would dig into the light's main body) but this new design is not as good as the old one IMO and has kind of turned me off of VTAC mounts

If I had actually paid for it I would try to return it, but I got it as a package with the light.

It took me 15 minutes to put it on because I thought I was putting it on wrong. I then went on google images wich confirmed that they all do that.

The way it looks has me questioning its ability to take abuse.
