From a mechanical point of view, this is a sturdy and well made sight.  But given the political contributions of the owners of the company, I feel it necessary to mail the sight back to the company with explicit instructions on where to mount the damn thing.

I need to replace it with a quality sight of  the same height when folded, or shorter. Yes, I've searched but can't find a link.

Suggestions?

Edited because I can't spel.

Break it before you send it back so no one can use it!

I heard of the contribution rumors as well, most of it is not entirely correct. The campaign contributions were not against Scot Brown, they were for the other person 2 yrs earlier when she was running as state attorney general.

Nothing like letting your political views get in the way of common sense. You probably forgot when you voted for Bush twice that Clinton almost had the budget balanced before he left office. It only took two years for Bush to fuck it up. This party line crap is as old as the proverbial hills. Who cares who he donated too. It was a business decision and you go and make it personal....

Would that be the same Clinton associated with the "assault rifle ban"?   So you would be happy with a balanced budget to the point you lost gun rights and that is acceptable?

If Dick can make a business decision and donate to anti-gun rights politician why can't we contribute to a pro- gun politician and not support Dick by purchasing his products??? I don't get it!  You spend your money as you wish and I won't criticize you, so don't criticize how others choose to spend their money, if you please!

OP, Troy are great sights.  I have 3 ARMS rails with BUIS.  I always thought the BUIS had a lot of play.  The only reason I have not replaced the ARMS rails is that there is not a product available that would replace the function on those rifles.  There is nothing comparable for my need.  There are work rifles and not range toys.

Can you send it to me?  I'll be angry and cross with it every time it comes out of the safe.

Check with Larue as I think they were (might still be) replacing free of charge, any busted ARMS mounts with the comparable Larue.

The 40L isn't a mount, itsa BUIS. Larue doesn't make a BUIS near as short as this guy wants.

Another vote for Troy

Wow. I guess I didn't get the memo that I had to match my personal convictions with yours, or get your permission to stand up for them. I guess this means no Christmas card?

The Midwest Industries SPLP is a great sight, and folds down to a smaller profile than the 40L.

WOW! Someone actually defending the guy that gave us the Assault Weapons Ban?  This has to be a first on here... or any other firearms related forum for that matter lol.
