I love all the fancy rare and obscure builds that come through here, but nothing beats a classic no-frills 603 IMO. Good job, I’ll be it shoots like a dream!

I would love to have a 1/7 FN A1 profile barrel.

Thanks, but it is a 1/12.  It is a nos barrel from the 80s

Yes, I agree.  I love the one pictured in your avatar.  It is just like the rifle I had in basic.  I would love to find an old worn upper like that.

Regards

After having both a 1/7 and 1/12; the 1/12 is laser accurate with 55gr M193 you made the right choice on twist imho.

That is a nice NOS seatbelt sling and the furniture is in great condition.  Good build

Where did you find a NOS barrel?

I like how you not only went "two-tone" with a gray lower/black upper, but you also used gray parts on the black upper, and black parts on the gray lower.

It's different, and a pretty cool look.

Where did you find a NOS barrel?

I love telling this story.

I bought a complete NOS Colt M16A1 upper receiver from CDNN back around 2005 for ......     $325.

It's been pulled apart and parted out over the years.

Thanks.  I tried to replicate my old issued M16A1 from 1980.  It was a rebuild.
