Well this current build was intended to have a 20 inch Bull Barrel Upper but I am debating the idea. I want to have a high powered scope which is easy with an A3 rail but most stock Bull Barrels don't come with the hand guards that accept a bipod. I am not very familiar with free floating rails. I already have a 16 inch carbine and a Remington 700 so I don't know if I really want another long range rifle. If I can find an easy solution to my Bull Barrel issue I may stay on that course but more or less I am looking for ideas. This is what I have done thus far, assembled this morning.

| DPMS sells a 20" upper assembly with a stainless steel free floated bull barrel. The only thing is that I'm not sure if the handguards it comes with will accept a bipod or not so you might have to switch to a different handguard. That could be really easy if the barrel nut is the same or more intensive if it needs to be changed, but I'm sure if you asked around here for advice someone would be able to help you out. |

A 20" bull is going to be a heavy bench gun.
Why not build a DCM/CMP 20" rifle ? They use a "stealthed" free float tube and the finished product looks like an issued 20" rifle. Your A2 stocked lower would be compliant. http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_9/14_High_Power___DCM___CMP.html |
