Quoted:
The stock trigger on this was the worst mil-spec trigger I have used. It was so gritty, and I could never tell when it was going to break. Yeah I have owned a couple of LR-308s and sell them in my store. I always told people that those guns have the worst triggers you will find in an AR. That was until I got an ArmaLite AR-10A in stock. That gun has a trigger pull of around 10 pounds as measured on the same scale I measure all the other guns with. Actually I don't really know what the pull is since the markings on the scale only go to 8 pounds and the indicated slides past that before the trigger breaks. |
| I think I am going to add a adjustable gas block and a Kynshot buffer to help with recoil. This thing feels over-gassed when I shoot it. Idont know much about adjustable gas blocks, but would like one with distinct settings. I will be shooting this suppressed sometimes once my form 4 clears. |

I'm surprised to hear about the Armalite trigger. The only .308 AR I have is an Armalite AR-10 carbine (B model) with a two-stage trigger. I have always swapped out triggers in ARs, but the one in my AR-10 is one of the best triggers I've used. I can't remember what the advertised pull weight is, but it's in the 2-4# range and I believe it. |
| I took it out last evening and dialed in the gas settings on the JP adjustable gas block. It is a tamed beast now. An entirely different experience. I'm sold on adjustable gas blocks, that's for sure. Now, all I feel is the recoil of the round, not the action slamming into the rear of the receiver extension violently. |
