Lets see: the 553=$650, the G23.FTS=$589, and the MI Rear Sight=$150.

The rifle shoots 1/2 in group at 100 yards with 3 shots, with all rounds touching.   The weapon is more accurate than me.

nice Stiz!

do you have any issues accessing the controls on the 553 with the magnifier mounted in front?

Sometimes but not really.  I like the buttons to the rear so they wont get damaged on the side.  It isn't as bad as people make it out to be.  It is completely livable.

You obviously did your research beforehand.  I was expecting it to be butt ugly.  Very impressive!

Looks very good!

You did excellent for your first try!... 1/7 C/L, DD Omega, SOPMOD, quality optics. No UTG(or similar) crap except the bipod which I'm hoping you don't intend to keep on there.

If this is going to serve HD duty, may want to pick up a light... maybe a TLR-1 or 6P/G2 LED + VTAC mount.

Its feed: Lake City M855s, Wolf 55 grains (I know, but its for plinking) and 22LR with conversion kit (but for some reasons those shoot really low, might be the barrel twist).

Ya its HD duty.  The bipod is just for sighting in, this is used as a close to mid range carbine.
