After lurking here for a while I ordered a Rock River Varmint 18" to hunt coyotes. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m146/nitelife2000/DSCN1921.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m146/nitelife2000/DSCN1923.jpg Edit: Bipod turned around and updated pics |

Thanks a bunch for your help! Now that is out of the way, I have another question: The barrel has some spiral marks on it. I haven't yet tried to remove except with a rag. Is this normal? Does it come off? I think it really takes away from the beauty. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m146/nitelife2000/DSCN1856.jpg |
Yes, still there, thanks. |
I agree, bbls are usually shipped in bulk with a little plastic net sleeve type of thing to protect it. I wouldnt worry about it unless it bothers you, call whoever you got it from and ask if they will replace it. |
CLP and a little elbow grease worked, thanks! |

Welcome! You have passed several of the standard rites of ar passage. I believe about 90% of AR owners get tripped up by that spring the first time they take a stock off,you lucked out as most of us lose the spring or squash it.It is a terrible feeling to spend $1000+ on a toy and not being able to play with it because we have lost or messed up a 65cent part. Warning! when you take off the handgrip there is a similar spring that holds the detent against the safety selector lever! |
