New here guys ... seems like a great forum. Be patient, I've never built an AR, just looking to get some solid advice.
Some of my friends are competing in 3 gun and I'm hooked. I'm looking to get up and running as soon as possible so I've decided to use build using a complete upper and lower in order to save time. I'm looking to keep my build under $1200 and I want a high quality set up but not something crazy like Noveske or LaRue, doesn't need to be billet everything, just rock solid Mil-Spc stuff. I haven't done too much research but some of the guys I've talked with have recommended companies like Bravo, Palmetto, Spikes and Daniel Defense in my price range. My friends run Noveske but its kinda out of my price range. So far, this is the set up I'm looking at: LOWER: RifleGear Aggressor MOE Complete Lower: http://www.riflegear.com/p-1195-riflegear-aggressor-moe-complete-lower.aspx The lower is made by made by Mega (according to Riflegear) so it should be solid. These guys are local so I will probably buy it direct since its the only part that is considered a firearm. FFL transfer fees are insane in my neck of the woods so unless there are better options, this will be my lower set up.
