I purchased my first AR15 back in May of this year and really got hooked. I decided to do a build of my own and it really has been fun and also a learning experience. The only thing I am undecided on is what freefloat handguard to use and would appreciate any suggestions.
Below is how the build has gone so far: Aero Precision OD lower and upper DD lower parts kit BCM buffer tube w/H2 buffer Larue Rat Butt stock DD 16" LW Mid Barrel DD low profile gas block Sure Fire muzzle break WMD BCG |

THIS
It's thin, lightweight, and has the new gen mounting system on it. Oh and it's not $400+ |

One thing to watch on this type of mounting system, be very careful when you torque the two attachment bolts. It is very easy to over-tighten and bend the tabs that engage the barrel nut on the back side of the hand guard, resulting in the rail not aligning properly with the upper. I made this mistake using just an allen wrench...should have grabbed the torque wrench. |
